OUR FOUNDER'S STORY
Born and raised in Eastern North Carolina, where she continues to live and raise her family, Philencia Hamilton founded Integrity Health Services of North Carolina to bridge the gap in behavioral health and substance use support. With over two decades of experience as a licensed behavioral health and substance use professional, Philencia saw firsthand that many in her own community—people who looked like her—lacked access to essential care.
After serving 27 years in the U.S. Army, Philencia returned home and was deeply moved by the rise in homelessness and family struggles tied to mental health and addiction. Determined to make a difference, she turned concern into action—organizing community meetings, building partnerships, and ultimately creating Integrity Health Services as both a clinic and a safe haven for those in need.
Her mission extends beyond the walls of her practice. Through outreach programs, workshops, and specialized support for female veterans, Philencia offers not just clinical care, but compassion, connection, and hope.
In her words: “Discover the strength within you as you embark on a healing journey.”
At Integrity Health Services, that belief drives everything she does—helping individuals and families reclaim their lives and write new stories of strength and recovery.
